In my online marketing journey, no resource has had as much influence on my business as Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring. In the pages of this ebook I learned a whole new way to look at a network marketing business, by applying the principles of attraction marketing. The idea of being pursued instead of being the pursuer made perfect sense to me.
For those of you who have not read Magnetic Sponsoring, the concept of attraction marketing is fairly straightforward. By creating value in the market place, you brand yourself as a resource in the minds of your prospects. Value added propositions most often include training or information that other network marketers would consider beneficial. The term "leading with value" is often used to describe this manner. When you deliver valuable content to your prospects, you become an expert resource in their lives. Ultimately they are drawn to you, because of the tremendous help you have been to them in learning skill sets of network marketing.
The question that most often arises with new marketers deals with their perceived lack of experience. The conversation customarily sounds something like this: "How can I provide value, if I haven't made any money or sponsored anyone into my company?" Other times the question is phrased this way: "What do I have to offer, I don't know anything?" By putting those questions to rest, any new marketer can leverage the power of attraction marketing in their company.
The first item of value that a beginner can offer is in helping others ascertain their dreams and goals. Talk about the dreams and goals that brought you into the world of network marketing. Talk about the technique you used to form your goals and the commitments you have made to yourself to ensure that those goals are ultimately reached. Discuss any redefining of your dreams that has taken place. Perhaps you realized that your purpose for starting an MLM business needed to much larger than your early motivation for setting out on this journey.
The next item of value you can offer is in the area of perseverance. Talk with others about those times you wanted to give up and quit. Share the steps you took to keep yourself in the game. Share any pieces of wisdom that you found helpful during those times. You might want to talk about those who were skeptical of your decision to start an MLM business and how you dealt with those criticisms. These are all things that every network marketer will eventually face.
Talk about your failures. Discuss all of the things you have tried that simply did not work for you. Share you insights from those experiences and discuss how you found ways to improve your business as a result of the lessons you learned. Talk about the areas of your business building efforts that are experiencing some success. These may be things like getting your blog set up, writing your first article or doing your first marketing video. You can talk about the steps you took to bring each of those things about. This information will be valuable to others, who are facing the same challenges as they start out.
It is necessary to remember that you are farther down the road than many other people who are just getting launched. with the experiences I've listed above as a guide, you can easily add value to the prospects in your marketplace. Just because you are a beginner, there is no reason the principles of attraction marketing cannot be applied to your company as well. If you will make a commitment to lead with value, Magnetic Sponsoring will be more than book, but it will become a way of life.
